From the Tokyo Metro Ginza line Asakusa Station (exit 2)(浅草駅）, it is a 1-minute walk to the front of the Kaminari-gate (雷門) and Asakusa Tourist Information Center (浅草文化観光センター). The Building looks as if it is made with shoji screens.
In this area, there are many traditional buildings mixed in with modern designs.
The tourist center uses a concept of “find-show-support,” making it the perfect starting point for Asakusa tourism.
It is open from 9:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. There is a terrace with a panoramic view that is open until 10:00p.m.

Asakusa Tourist Information Center is full of information on the area. It is ready with maps and tourist advice to help you experience Asakusa sightseeing with maximum efficiently.
There is free public Wi-Fi on the first and second floors and it is equipped with Internet access to make sending photos or writing a blog as easy as possible. Also on the second floor, there is a nursing room.
On the 8th floor, there is a terrace with a panoramic view.

The panoramic terrace on the top floor of the building is a little unusual but it is a suitable resting place when you are tired.
Even if you do not need a rest, I highly recommend that you visit the terrace to take in the beautiful panoramic view. Among other things, you can see Nakamise Street and the Sensoji Temple. And you have an especially good view of the sky tree. It looks so close from the terrace. You will be overwhelmed by its size.
From the terrace view, you will be able to look at your Asakusa tour destination for the day.
Also on the same floor, there is a glass-fronted café & bar (open from 10:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.) with all sorts of items at affordable prices including lunch, desserts, and alcoholic drinks.
